Blossom is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. Future growth is planned with an emphasis on quality by maintaining a small ratio of teaching staff to students.

Blossom adheres to a strict code of ethics for instructional personnel and administrative personnel including standards of employment for instructional staff, support staff and standards for employee misconduct. All Blossom staff members is subject to annual training on our Ethics in Education Policies and Procedures, including how to report professional misconduct. 2023-2024 Ethics of Education Policy and Procedures / Reporting Professional Misconduct

For all staff members (including potential new hire staff applicants & current employees every five years), contracted employees (therapists) and volunteers, Blossom conducts a Level II live scan background screening through both FDLE VECHS & DCF AHCA Clearinghouse, as well as both a Florida & National Sexual Offender & Predator screening.  For all individuals who have lived out-of-state (OSS) within the last five years, additional OSS screenings are required, such as OSS criminal records check & OSS child abuse & neglect check for each state of previous residence.

Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf is a DRUG FREE – ALCOHOL FREE – SMOKE FREE – VAPE FREE school zone / work place!! All Blossom staff members and contracted employees are subject to pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening and may be re-screened at any time with or without reason. This is to ensure our school is a Drug & Alcohol Free. Drugs can be illegal, prescription or legal such as alcohol. They are not appropriate for consumption while caring for children. No exceptions! Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf has a ZERO TOLERANCE for drugs and immediately dismisses any staff member, contracted employee or volunteer found to be in violation. Smoking or vaping of tobacco products is NOT permitted within 100 feet of school grounds at all times. No person including parent/guardians, staff, board members, volunteers and visitors may be in possession of a lighted cigarette, e-cigarette, vape pen, lighted pipe, lighted cigar, or any other lighted tobacco product, in the school facility, including the outside grounds. NO smoking area has been designated. The purpose of this policy is to comply with the “Florida Clean Indoor Air Act” in protecting the public health, comfort and environment by creating areas in all school facilities that are free from tobacco smoke.
