Marcy Albright, 6-9 Classroom Teacher
Marcy Albright grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She is a graduate of The University of Akron, where she obtained her A.A.S. in American Sign Language Interpreting and Transliterating. She has her B.S in Education from Kent State University.
Marcy is going on her fifth year here at Blossom. She attended Montessori training through Seacoast Center for Education at the Montessori School of Celebration in 2008 and will continue her training through 2010. Marcy has learned a great deal about the Montessori curriculum, methods and philosophy and truly embraces all aspects. Once training is completed she will be a certified Montessori teacher for ages 6-12. Her goal is to continue her education through an online partnership with Plymouth State University in New Hampshire and get her Masters of Education degree with a concentration in Montessori education.
In addition to teaching, Marcy works as a freelance interpreter. She has her Florida State QA II certification and is working toward earning her National Interpreting Certification (NIC).
Marcy enjoys life in St. Petersburg. In her spare time she enjoys going to performances, watching football (Go Browns and Buckeyes!), socializing, traveling and spending time with her son, family and friends.
