Erik Hoover, Classroom Teacher, Ages 12-15

Erik is in his second year teaching at Blossom.

A graduate of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, Erik attended California State University, Northridge (CSUN) where he played Division 1-AA football and was the first deaf winner of the male pageant Mr. CSUN. He holds an Associate of Arts degree from St. Petersburg College and is currently attending Grand Canyon University to obtain his Bachelors in Elementary Education degree.

Erik is a certified advanced scuba diver and has traveled outside of the United States to destinations such as Western Europe, Cayman Islands, Cozumel, Mexico and British Columbia. He enjoys participating in athletic leagues and deaf tournaments for softball and basketball.

Erik is happily married and is the proud father to his son Desmond.
