Kara Cannon, Speech and Language Pathologist
Kara Cannon, M.A. CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist who has been practicing since 2008. Her professional experiences include pediatric private practice, public elementary and middle school, and private school settings.
Kara holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, as well as maintaining FL state licensure. She is a member of the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists. In addition, she is a member of the National Association of the Deaf.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL in 2005. It was here that she took several courses in American Sign Language. Then she received her Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL in 2008. She is currently continuing her education in the Sign Language Interpretation Program in St. Petersburg College.
Kara lives in St. Petersburg with her husband, Jason, and their Miniature Schnauzer puppy, Kona.
